From the Honorary Presidents

Dear Colleagues,

We extend the warmest of welcomes to this 25th edition of BOMEX® in Quebec City.

The magnificent autumn vistas of a remarkable city form the backdrop for this event – a conference that will allow us to exchange ideas and explore the latest urban trends and technologies that are transforming our industry.

Our industry is experiencing a moment that is at once exciting and uncertain. More than ever, the success of our buildings depends on operational excellence. Their performance allows them to distinguish themselves in the marketplace.

Technology is on our side. It is transforming our personal lives while becoming an essential tools (enlever le s) that we must adopt in order to meet the changing needs of our clients.

Let us make the most of this opportunity to engage one another, to learn, and of course, to have fun!

Here’s to 25 more years!

From the President of BOMA Québec…

Dear commercial real estate professionals,

Our industry’s marquee event is coming up soon and the 2015 BOMEX® Conference and Exhibition is promising to be an impressive affair. Be it to strike new profitable relationships, to learn and recharge, or to have fun while doing a little bit of both, I assure you the three days will be worth the trip.

Leaders from diverse sectors, including energy, security, and human resources, will talk strategy during some thirty keynotes, seminars and workshops. Close to 100 companies will feature their services and products at the trade show. And among the exhibitors expected this year are the winners of the « Real Estate’s Cleverest » contest launched this spring by BOMA Quebec in association with the Ivanhoé Cambridge Real Estate Chair at ESG-UQÀM.

As tradition dictates, the gathering will be capped off with a celebration of our know-how, where building managers from across the country will be recognized for their commitment to defining quality in our industry. I am, of course, referring to the National BOMA Awards gala, which will take place at the Château Frontenac.

Attendees can expect to have an enjoyable time and for that, I would like to take this opportunity to thank our sponsors in advance for making BOMEX® 2015 possible.

Conversations and experiences are only as rich as the people who engage in them, so I hope you will come out in large numbers to make the conference the best that it can be. If you have not done so already, you may register now via the website.

From the President of the Organizing Committee…

Dear friends and colleagues,

It is an honour for us to welcome representatives of Canada’s commercial real estate industry to our province’s charming capital for the first time. We are particularly flattered that Quebec City was selected to host the BOMEX® Conference and Exhibition on its 25th anniversary and we will certainly make sure that the event is a memorable one.

The theme chosen for this edition — History forms, technology transforms — is a nod to this cradle of French civilization in North America, whose Old Town is listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Here, there are reminders of our origins at every turn, buildings with a rich past that have shaped our city’s image over time. Their lines, their curves and their façades remain, but many are now being rejuvenated on the inside to become « green ». And all around, new real estate projects using the most advanced design and construction techniques are rising and transforming the landscape.

The antique is melding with the modern, the old is becoming new and the organizing committee has made every effort to identity activity locations that will give you the opportunity to see this for yourself.

You will discover the enchanting Royal Quebec Golf Club if you play the BOMEX® Classic, the splendid chapel of the Musée de l’Amérique francophone during the welcome reception and the stunning view of the St. Lawrence River from the Dalhousie Terminal, where we will be holding Fun Night.

The committee is still hard at work putting finalizing the program, but we will be ready for your arrival!

We are looking forward to welcoming you to Quebec City, September 15-17.
